COVID-19 UPDATE; In-office appointments and keeping virtual options available….

At Metro Vancouver Podiatry we recognize the need to access podiatric care while also preserving the health of our patients and our community. It is important that we all work together to keep each other safe. While we understand and appreciate the majority of BC’s population is vaccinated we are aware that COVID-19, and other easily transmittable illnesses, remain present in our community. As such we are still taking precautions including:

  • We will ensure our appointments are spread out to limit the number of people in our office at a time. This means you may have to wait a bit longer for your appointment though it will be safer for all.

  • We continue to offer video/virtual and phone appointments to those who wish to limit the amount of time being spent in office.

  • All patients are invited, though no longer required, to wear masks while in our office. While the mask mandate has been lifted in BC we understand many still feel more comfortable with masks. Dr. Randhawa does typically wear a mask and will always wear a mask if you request it.

  • We ask that only those who need to be there attend the appointment. Typically this is the patient alone though may include individuals for support or translation. Parents are asked to attend their children’s appointments.

  • If you have a fever, cough, or are otherwise unwell we ask that you please call to reschedule your appointment. If you need guidance on how to take care of yourself please call 8-1-1 or reach out to your family doctor. You may also visit https://covidcheck.gov.bc.ca/ for recommendations as related to COVID-19. We will continue to waive last-minute cancellation fees for individuals who are ill though do ask that you call us and let us know with as much notice as possible.

  • You are encouraged to fill out the new-patient intake form as well as electronic communication authorization forms prior to your appointment with us. These forms can be found on our website under the “Forms” tab.

  • Our waiting and exam rooms are consistently and thoroughly cleaned throughout the day. If you prefer to wait in your vehicle until the time of your appointment feel free to call and let us know you are waiting in your car. We will call you when we are ready for you to come in

We will also continue to offer virtual appointments An initial, or follow-up, consultation is available to you via Zoom Video Teleconferencing or through a phone consult. Such appointments must be made via email and we will email you a link to click on at the time of your appointment. For payment of services you will be asked to provide a Visa or Mastercard number over the phone and a receipt will be sent to you via email. To make such an appointment please visit our appointment page, or send us an email at info@mvpodiatry.com.

We remain committed to supporting you in your foot and ankle health. For further information on the COVID-19 situation we recommend visiting the website for the BC Centre for Disease Control
